Delete your account

In the app

1. Open Settings → Account.
2. Tap Delete account, then tap Delete account again to confirm.

That starts a 30-day grace period. Sign back in during those 30 days and Arqaan offers to keep the account: tapping Keep my account is the only thing that cancels the deletion. After 30 days the account is deleted permanently, and that cannot be undone.

By email, without the app

Email contact@hajify.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. If you are writing from a different address, tell us the one the account uses, and we will write to it to confirm the request is yours before we act.

We delete the account permanently within 30 days of receiving the request. An emailed request has no grace period, and once the account is deleted it cannot be restored.

What is deleted

Everything attached to the account, whichever way you asked:

• your email address, display name, handle, avatar and friend code;
• your prayer, deed and dhikr logs, your lessons, your garden, and your level, streak and Noor;
• your friends and friend requests, your league history, and any reports you sent or that name you;
• your daily step counts, your notification tokens, and the error records the app sends us to fix sync problems.

What is kept, and for how long

• Backups. Our database keeps a daily backup for 8 days, so your data can remain in a backup for up to 8 days after the account is deleted.
• Crash reports. Reports sent by Firebase Crashlytics are not linked to your account and are kept under Google's own retention schedule.
• Purchase records. If you subscribed, Google Play or the App Store, and our subscription provider RevenueCat, keep their own record of the purchase under their own terms.

If you have a subscription

Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel it in your Google Play or App Store subscription settings, or it will keep renewing.
